Main Course For Today's Blog!

Today I'm going to share with you a recipe of a main course which is "Honey Glazed Pork Chop".

Equipment/Materials needed:

  • Chopping board
  • Knife
  • Bowl
  • Tablespoon
  • Kitchen spoon
  • Measuring cup
  • Sauté pan
Ingredients:
  • 1 piece - Skin-on pork shoulder
  • 2 tablespoon - Honey
  • 1/2 cup - Butter
  • Pinch of Rosemary
  • Pinch of Salt & pepper
  • 1 glove - Garlic
  • 1 head - Shallot
  • 1 piece - Bay leaf
  • 2 tablespoon - Brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoon - Soy sauce
Let's start cooking!

1. In a large bowl, combine 3 tbsp. of the Soy sauce with the sugar, garlic, and shallot, stirring until mixed.
2. Score the skin of the pork by slicing a crosshatch pattern through the skin down to the meat. This will help excess fat render out and allow more of the marinade to soak in.
3. Place the pork in the marinade and toss to coat evenly. Marinate.
4. Preheat the sauté pan to 275°F (140℃).
5. Place the marinated pork in the middle of the heated sauté pan. Cook till medium rare. Rosy pink meat inside and golden-brown outside.
6. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, honey, and remaining soy sauce, stir until smooth.
7. Spoon the honey glaze over the top of the pork, making sure to fill the cracks and crevices on top.
8. Semi fry for 20 minutes until sugar is dark brown and caramelized, and the top of the pork is crispy.
9. Slice the pork into 1/2 inch (2 1/2 cm) slices, and plate with the mixed of vegetables and mushed potato.
